Michelangelo was born on March 6, 1475. He is famous for doing the Sistine Chapel, Pieta, and many

other sculptures and paintings. When he was 12, his apprenticeship was with Domenico Ghirlandajo. His sculpture

apprenticeship was with Donatello. Lorenzo the great was one of the people to patron Michelangelo. Julius the

second was the pope who patroned Michelangelo to do the Sistine Chapel ceiling. Michelangelo died in 1564.
